Applications are invited for the following position:
STUDY NURSE/CLINICAL OFFICERS, ACTION III TRIAL RESEARCH PROJECT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY - AD/5/115/21 (10 POSTS) (CHS)
The Project ACTION III TRIAL is a three (3) years multi-country, multi-center, three-arm, parallel group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of two doses of antenatal corticosteroids for women with a high probability of birth in the late preterm period.
The project will be conducted in three (3) hospitals in Kenya.
The Position
The position has work locations based in Mombasa, Thika and Nakuru counties. Job Description
Screen and enroll eligible participants in the study by ensuring proper administration of consents procedures.
Administer screening and enrollment questionnaire to the participants.
Maintain register of all randomized participants.
Ensure data are collected accurately and resolve any discrepancies with data team.
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the study coordinator. Job Specifications
Applicant must have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with a pass in English.
They must have a Diploma in Kenya Registered Nurse Midwife or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse or a Degree in Bachelor of Science, Nursing OR Clinical Medicine.
He/She must have at least 1 year working experience post qualification in a busy maternity unit.
Applicants with training and experience in research and IT will have an added advantage. Terms of appointment This a position whose tenure is one (1) year contract renewable based on performance and by mutual consent. The salary is negotiable depending on the level of education and work experience.
